Here we go again !

We loved it so much last year that we are going again next year. Our home for the second half of the 2018 Ski Season.

So all that is now left to do is to invite all our family and friends over to join us.

The Chalet is nicely located for easy access to the slopes.

The chalet is a bit smaller than last time, but at a push can house eight.

The lower part of the chalet has an open plan lounge, diner and kitchen with optional double sofa-bed.

Free WiFi is available.

Plus parking for your car if you decide to drive over.

Morillon: An Authentic Village

Vast pine forests, a stunning lake, a wild river, with a Canadian feel… You’re at Morillon, in the heart of the Haut Giffre Valley and the ski area of the Grand Massif. Morillon, an authentic village preserved through its enduring pastoral tradition, invites you to plunge into Alpine life. Whether you’re looking for action or contemplation, the nature here is rich and full of flavour… Enjoy!

The Morillon Grand Massif resort is located between 680m and 2500m. It is easily reachable and is the perfect village resort to do alpine and Nordic activities during your family ski holiday. The Rhône-Alpes region is just next-door to Mont Blanc, a one-hour drive from Chamonix, Geneva and Annecy…

Morillon is your next all-season destination, with no fewer than 265 km of ski areas between Morillon, Samoëns, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval.

Morillon has the discrete charm of a village resort with a pleasant family atmosphere and vast ski areas linked to the Grand Massif. Made up of wood covered houses typical of the region and chalet style accommodation, all built around the village’s historic Church of Saint Christophe. The church dates back to the 16th century and is characterised by its beautiful square tower, topped by a bulb. Morillon is divided into various hamlets. Indeed, the village consists of the unification of the old village with the hamlets of “Les Champs” and “Le Verney”, at 700 meters, and the town of Morillon 1100, which took shape 400 meters higher.

There is plenty of easy green slopes for the complete beginner skiers to have a go with a starter lesson or two and plenty of wide blues/reds for the more accomplished skiers.

Access is very easy, Morillon is located just one hour from Geneva Airport where you can fly into using the budget Easyjet airline for around £50 off peak.

As we have no fixed arrival and departure days you could easily fly in Thursday evening and return Monday morning for a long weekend or stay for a fortnight.
